According to people of the locality, around 8 pm on Wednesday the sky was illumited all of a sudden. It was followed by a deafening sound nearby. The people of the nearby areas felt it to be a plane crash, and they made no delay to start a search operation on their own to discover what the sound was of. The sound, according to witnesses, was heard from places as far as six/seven km. It was something like a combing operation by the local people who thoroughly searched Chandubi and Muduki in Assam and Tinikhuti in Meghalaya atop hills etc.
