NEDA demands immediate release of BJP leaders

GUWAHATI, Dec 31: The Northeast Distributors Association has sought immediate release of BJP general secretary and NEDA president Vijay Kumar Gupta and BJP spokesperson Rupam Goswami, who is also the advisor of NEDA. Gupta and Goswami were arrested on Tuesday for their involvement in the Rajib Bhawan incident.
In a press statement slamming the State government, the NEDA said, “The Government of Assam and the Congress Party should think and take positive steps to remove the heinous section imposed by them, which are generally imposed on crimils and should withdraw the complaint cases against these two persons in Bhangagarh police station.”
