NEEDS to award 15 persolities, 3 organizations

GUWAHATI, Oct 22: NEEDS, an AGO, is going to give away the ‘Needs Excellent Awards’ to 15 different persolities excelling in different fields and three organizations for their valuable contributions, at a function to be held at Machkhowa ITA Centre for Performing Arts  on November 5. This is the 3rd such awards to be awarded by the NGO.  The 15 persolities to receive the awards are Deepa Karmakar in sports, Utpal Das in acting, Amanprit Kaur for bravery, Mami Jorte in music, Kamal Dey in fashion photography, Tanu Riba in fashion designing, Jayanta Malla Baruah in debate, Saumen Bharatiya in cultural development, Himangkon Das in industry, Dr. Numal Bora for special contribution in social works, Lou Majau for significant contribution in music, Ram Avatar Agarwal for contribution in industries, Bayur Bora for contribution in literature, Ravi Kann in medical treatment and Wasbir Hussain in jourlism. The three organizations going to receive the awards are Veeranga team for women empowerment, Concept Education and Scorpion Protection Agency for preservation.
