New ABKS committee formed

GUWAHATI, April 29: The Asom Ban Karmachari Santha (ABKS) held its 41st conference at Karimganj in Barak Valley for three days – April 21, 22 and 23, 2017. The Santha formed its 31-member new central committee with Rajendra Saikia as the president and Pulin Mahanta as the general secretary. Besides State Forest and Environment Minister Pramila Rani Brahma, Patharkandi MLA Krishnendu Paul, Karimganj MLA Kamalaksha Purkayastha and a number of forest officers were present at the conference. A souvenir, Bonjyoti, was released on the occasion.
