New BSS body to take charge on April 2

GUWAHATI, March 31: The new members of the central executive committee of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) with Taren Chandra Boro as the president and Prasanta Bora as the general secretary are set to take charge on April 2 at its new office at Bathoupuri Cultural Project near ISBT, Guwahati. The new committee has 11 steering committee and 31 executive committee members. 
The members of the new committee were elected at the 56th BSS session held at Dhemaji recently. Outgoing president Padmashree Dr. Kameswar Brahma will preside over the meeting of handing over the charge. The meeting will form various BSS sub-committees. Meanwhile, the BSS office at JB Hagjer Bhawan at Ganeshguri in the city will be shifted to BSS’ Bathoupuri Cultural Project, said Kamala Kantka Mushahary in a statement today.
