New committee of surgeons’ body formed

GUWAHATI, Jan 12:  The new committee of the Association of Surgeons of Assam (ASA), the Assam State Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) formed recently in a meeting held at a city hotel, a press communiqué said. The new committee was formed with Dr Ramen Kumar Kalita as chairman.  Outgoing chairman Dr Manoj Kr Choudhury along with his executive body members handed over their charge to the new executive committee headed by new Chairman Dr Kalita. Founder Secretary of ASA Dr G C Jain was also present in the meeting and Dr Jain had released the 3rd issue of ASA newsletter.  This was followed a brief CME programme where Dr N N Ganguly & Dr M P th spoke on ‘Acute Pancreatitis’  & ‘Pain Magement’ respectively.
