In a statement issued to the press today, party spokespersons Rupam Goswami and Pabitra Margherita said that State BJP in-charge president Santanu Bharali welcomed the successful completion of 100 days by the party-led government at Dispur.

Bharali said that the party that came to power at Dispur with the promise of making Assam corruption free, pollution free and foreigner free was performing successfully. He said that the economic condition of the State that was shattered by the last Congress government has been put on track by the new government within just three months. “The policy of zero tolerance to corruption adopted by the new government at Dispur is quite visible,” he said.

Bharali further said that the first annual budget tabled by the new BJP government at Dispur is a milestone. “It reflects measures for all-round development of youth, urban and rural areas. Treading in the footsteps of Prime Minister rendra Modi’s ‘Sab Ke Saath, Sab Ka Vikash’ mantra Dispur is making strides on all fronts like education, health, fighting corruption, clearing pension, skill development, agriculture, forest etc. During the recent floods in the State, the government acted promptly by standing near the affected people,” Bharali said, and added: “The decision taken by the government to dig out the Brahmaputra in order to control floods and erosion, efforts put on for updating an error-free NRC, sealing of the intertiol border with Bangladesh, etc., are praiseworthy.”
