NFR GM inspects four divisions

GUWAHATI, Oct 28: In an unprecedented event, the newly-appointed General Mager of NF Railway, Mohd Jamshed, had conducted a window-trailing inspection of four divisions - Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya and Lumding - on the first day of his arrival yesterday after taking over charge as General Mager. The window-trailing inspection is carried out to access the fitness of tracks, siglling, safety and operatiol efficiency.
The General Mager, who had travelled by Northeast Express, started with Katihar Division and continued till Kamakhya station of Lumding Division. During the inspection, he held discussion with Divisiol Railway Magers and key officials on various aspects of Northeast Frontier Railway's operations -  punctual running of trains, adequateness of safety precautions, increasing the speed of trains, removal of operatiol bottlenecks, availability of passenger amenities, status of various works-in-progress, loading performance and fince etc.
The General Mager's inspection has had a positive effect on the morale of the field officers and staff and encouraged them to improve operatiol efficiency of the railway and customer care on the Railways, an NF Railway release said.
