NGO for slum dwellers

GUWAHATI, Nov 25:  Youth For Unity  and Voluntary Action (YUVA) has organized a daylong awareness programme – Consultation on Social Security among Slum Dwellers – in the city to discuss the basic human rights – food, living and shelter for the slum dwellers. “The slum dwellers face a lot of problems and they are usually denied their basic human rights. The aim of this event is to create awareness among people and to chalk out plans and ways for the problem they are facing. We are also trying to bring together the community leaders to form a city level people’s campaign,” YUBA BSFC in-charge Syeda Mehzebin Rahman said.
