NH-37 blocked at Mirza

MIRZA, Sept 20: The local people of Mirza blocked NH 37 in front of Mirza Swahid Bhawan in protest against the death of a primary student of Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya located at Mirza. Pritam Mali, son of Nripen Mali, died after falling in the pond on the Swahid Bhawan premises yesterday when the school was holding its annual function. The local people blocked the highway with the body of the student after its  post-mortem. The parents of the student lodged an FIR at Palasbari police station. The people of the area said that the student died due to negligence on the part of the school authority. They also criticized the AASU for leaving the pond unfenced. The swahid bhawan was set up by the AASU that is looking after it.
