GUWAHATI, Sept 27: Most of the State Government employees failed to get their arrears for six months before the Durga Puja as declared by the government earlier. Arrears were accumulated dues from October 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 with the effect of the Seventh Pay Commission recommendations. Even the employees of the State Secretariat, considered nerve centre of the State administration, failed to get the arrears amount. The State Fince Department did issue a notification for the payments of arrears of six months before the Durga Puja. However, the departments concerned failed to submit the bills on time. State Government also declared that the salary of September would be paid in advance before the Durga Puja. However, a large number of LP and ME schools teachers failed to get the salary of September.
