No purchase by petroleum dealers

GUWAHATI, Nov 7: Facing the regular harassment by the oil companies the members of the Northeast India Petroleum Dealers’ Association, Greater Guwahati unit, held an emergent meeting on November 6 and decided to observe no purchase from oil companies on November 7 and 8. Speaking to The Sentinel, association general secretary Dwijen Chandra Mahanta said: “We’ve taken the decision after discussion with all our members that the common people shouldn’t face any harassment for the no purchase decision. At least all the petrol pumps in the city have sufficient stock of petrol and diesels for the coming three days.”
