Noida Uber crash: DU girl from Assam dies

GUWAHATI, Sept 28: 20-year old Delhi University (DU) student Krish Kayuum Pegu breathed her last on Wednesday morning after battling for life for five days in a private hospital in New Delhi.

She was declared death at 7:56 am.

Krish along with three of her friends met with a fatal accident when the Uber can they were travelling rammed into a statiory truck in Noida.

 The driver of the cab was in an intoxicated state when the accident occurred.

She was a first-year student of BA English honours in Miranda House and hails Silapathar in Dhemaji district. She was residing in Guwahati where her father works with the state transport department.

Krish and three of her friends, Tanuz Kalita, 19, of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa college, Siddharth Pathak, 20, of Swami Shraddhand College and Akshara Badola, 20, of Mata Sundari College were returning from Greater Noida on September 23 after celebrating a birthday party. They had booked an Uber, which hit a statiory truck.
