Nomition for Anuvadshree Award opens

GUWAHATI, April 19: The prestigious Anuvadshree award will be presented this year in a tiol semir and the Xllth convocation ceremony of the PG translation course of Shabda-Bharati in May this year. The award is being presented regularly for the 10th year to the region’s dedicated translators who have been rendering their services for exchanging regiol culture, literature and scientific works in book form through translation in Hindi-Assamese and vice-versa.  Earlier the award was presented to Nirupama Phukan of Dibrugarh, varun Verma, Chitra Mahanta, Lokth Bharali, Dr. Thaneswar Sarma, Dinkar Kumar, Banti Asha Kakoty Chaliha of Guwahati, Dr. Bhushan Pathak and Girija Boruah for their outstanding services in translation. This year the award will be presented to a male and a female translator of the region.

Interested persons who have significantly made their records in the field may submit their nomitions in a biodata form and copies of published books to the secretary, Shabda-Bharati, Kak Bhawan (1st floor) at Dispur Last Gate latest by April 26.
