DIMORIA, Nov 28: A bad omen sets in! A hailstorm in November-end damaged 5,000 bighas of standing crops in the Dimoria area on the outskirts of Guwahati on Monday night.
Dhopguri, Uloni, Paschim Uloni, Bamphor, Bherakuchi, etc., are the worst affected in the hailstorm. Hails kept roads, houses, yards and paddy fields covered for around five hours. Farmers in the area are crestfallen.
