NPS offers Rs 2.5 lakh scholarship to HSLC topper

Guwahati, June 30: NPS Intertiol School has offered a scholarship of Rs 2.5 lakh to Partha Pratim Bhuyan for securing first position in the recently declared HSLC examition, conducted by SEBA, during the Achievers Day celebrations of the school recently.
Handing over the cheque to Partha, now a student of Class XI (Science) of NPS Intertiol School, Dr  Pitambar Dev Goswami, Xatradhikar, Auniati Satra also felicitated the student’s parents during the programme.  In his speech, Dr Goswami also lauded the effort of NPS Intertiol School for providing scholarship to such students.
“I would also like to thank the magement of NPS Intertiol School for such a humble initiative. This will definitely encourage students like Partha to move ahead in life,” he said. 
Dr Goswami advocated for the need of inclusion of spiritual education in the modern education system.
Participating in the programme as the chief guest, DGP (Law and Order) Kuladhar Saikia congratulated the achievers from the school during the year 2016-17. 
Students, parents, teachers and the alumni members of the school took part in the Achievers Day celebration of the programme where school achievers along with their parents were felicitated during the programme.  Laptops, gold-plated plaques, smart mobile phones and certificates were also distributed among the achievers.
Later in the evening, the Brahmaputra Auditorium of the school lit up with a colourful line of impressive performances produced by different sections of students of the school.
