NRL conducts eye camp

 GUWAHATI, April 26: As part of NRL’s week long 25th  Foundation Day celebrations from April 22 to April 29, an eye screening cum cataract detection camp was organized by the Company recently in association with Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya Hospital, Guwahati with support from a local NGO, M/s Kalpataru. The camp was organized under NRL’s CSR Project, ‘Drishti’  which provides free eye screening and cataract operations in Golaghat District. The camp was held at Kuruabahi Higher Secondary School, Golaghat District and attended by 149 patients out of which 25 were diagnosed with Cataract, DCT & Pterygium.

 These 25 patients will be taken to Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya Hospital at Guwahati on  May 11 for detailed examition and operation. Medicines and spectacles prescribed to all the patients shall also be provided free of cost by NRL.  This was stated in a press release.
