NRL hands over 'Swarga Rath'

GUWAHATI, May 8: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, NRL  donated an air-conditioned corpse carrying van to Navagraha crematorium, Guwahati for the benefit of citizens of Guwahati. Noted social worker and Rehab personnel Suchismita Majumdar handed over the keys of the van to the management committee members of Navagraha Cremetorium viz Balendra Bharali and Mukut Bora. Also present on the occasion were MD NRL S.K.Barua , Sr CGM(HR) A K Bhattacharya and officials of NRL Corporate office, Guwahati.

 As a fast expanding city with an ever increasing populace, the vehicle is expected to be of great utility as family members of the departed prepare for the last journey of their near and dear ones, a press release stated.
