OBC body wants proper implementation of quota

GUWAHATI, Dec 2: The All Assam Other Backward Classes Youth and Students’ Associations (AAOBCYSA) demanded implementation of reservation for OBC candidates properly in various government recruitments. AAOBCYSA general secretary Umesh Deka said in a press conference in Guwahati Press Club today: “We have noticed various incidents of reservation of the government recruitments, where the OBC candidates were deprived of and the government not providing any reservation for them. We, therefore, demand implementation the 27 per cent reservation for OBC candidates in every government and private recruitment in the state and to open a special department for the backward people of the state. We are also going to stage dhar on the issue on December 8 at Dispur Last Gate.”
