Official suspended

GUWAHATI, March 29: Subrata Purkayastha, the then accountant of Badarpur Development Block, now working at Udharband Development Block in Cachar, has been placed under suspension from his duty with effect from Thursday for violation of Rule 14 (3) of the Assam Panchayat (Fincial) Rules, 2002. He was involved in misappropriation of government money, a press release said.
