Oil pilferers' racket busted

GUWAHATI, June 4: Noonmati police busted a racket of oil pilferers at rangi in the city in the wee hours today. While two of the racket have been arrested, three others maged to escape. The five were pilfering oil from five oil tankers. The two arrested have been identified as Bijay Ghose (34) of rangi and Bir Singh Noonia (19) of Silchar Sadarpara. Five drums, ten jerry cans and around 800 litres oil were seized from them.
