Onion price regulated

GUWAHATI, Dec 14: Filly, the district administration has woken up to the heat of onion and the fury of the consumers what with the Deputy Commissioner and Licensing Authority, Kamrup Metropolitan district, Dr. M. Angamuthu, severving a number of directives to any person carrying on business of purchase, sale or storage for sale of onion. Any dealer of the trade article will have to comply with the directions. The administration has taken this step to ensure maintence of supplies of onion in open market and its sale at a fair and reasoble price among consumers in public interest. Non compliance with the directions would invite legal action against the seller concerned.
