GUWAHATI, March 21: BJP’s tiol president Amit Shah is going to take part in a number of party meetings during his visit to Guwahati in connection with the party’s booth conference slated for March 24. Upon his arrival in the city on March 24, Shah is supposed to be at the booth presidents’ conference from 10 am to 12 noon at Khapara Veteriry playground. From 3 pm to 5 pm, he is going hold a meeting with party MPs and MLAs of the State. It will be followed by an extended office-bearers’ meeting of the party in the State from 5 pm. At night he is going to take part in the core committee meeting. He is going to wind up his visit to the city the next morning.
The booth presidents’ conference is to be attended by 25,859 booth presidents, 303 mandal presidents, 38 district presidents, all executive members and all office-bearers. Shah is going to entrust responsibilities to 3.33 lakh page in-charges of the electoral rolls, said State BJP’s general secretary (organization) Phanindra th Sarma and three general secretaries – Dilip Saikia, Mrigangko Barman and Pulak Gohain – while briefing the media.
