Patanjali set to script new chapter in Assam

GUWAHATI, Nov 7: Patanjali food park will now be a source of joy and prosperity to the farmers of Assam.

Swami Ramdevji commenced his karmayog in Assam in 1993. He started his journey of yog and Karmyagaya from Bhairavpuri in Assam, and when he thought of expansion of Patanjali, Assam was a tural choice. Because of Assam being abundant in tural herbs and shrubs, today it is a prime manufacturing centre for Patanjali’s pure, tural, scientific and swadeshi herbal products in bulk tiolly. This is by far the largest industrial set-up achieved in Assam, a press release said.

Processing and packaging of various food products and herbal products will be carried out here. This park, which has been started with an annual turnover target of Rs. 20,000 crore, will give direct employment to 5,000 people, the release said, and added that every year the company will directly be providing the farmers with the right price for their herbal harvest. Apart from this, over a lakh of farmers and farm labourers will get jobs and better standard of living. With employment and growth opportunities, Assam will witness all-round progress. “Patanjali’s campaign will both directly and indirectly facilitate economic self-sustence and at the same time strengthen the campaign to restrict foreign companies from ruling us economically and looting the country. Assam will successfully create a place of its own in the field of food and agricultural processing,” the release said, and added: “A new chapter of a glorious revolution in the field of organic farming, herbal farming and gardening has commenced through the efforts of Patanjali. There will be spiritual and economic growth.  The foundation stone of the food park has been laid on November 6, 2016 in the august presence of Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, respected Yogrishi Swami RamdevJi and Param Pujya Acharya BalkrishJi.”
