Picnicker drowns

GUWAHATI, Dec 25: Biswajit Bhowmik, a picnicker to Sunsali Ghat under Noonmati police station drowned in the river on Monday. Hailed from Jotiya in Kahilipara, Bhowmik was talking with his colleagues by sitting on the river bank. Upon information, police and SDRF personnel rushed to the spot and fished out his body within 35 minutes.
