Picnicker drowns

GUWAHATI, Dec 24: Twenty-six-year-old graphic designer of a newspaper of Guwahati, Ajay Chetia who went out for a picnic party to Hamim in Boko in Kamrup district with the office team of 30 to 35 on Saturday, never returned. He got drowned in water while crossing a small lake at the picnic spot. While he was drowning, one of his friends made an attempt to rescue him by swimming to him, but could not. Post-mortem of the Ajay’s body was done by Meghalaya police as Hahim comes under Meghalaya’s jurisdiction. Ajay’s body will reach his home town, Tinsukia by Monday for the last rites.
