Plea to vote out Rajbongshi

GUWAHATI, May 8: The Axam Xahitya Xabha Xanskar Xamiti (AXXXX) has called a four-day convention of the Xabha from June 4, 2017 at Rabindra Bhawan in Guwahati to revitalize the Xabha and to make it thrive afresh. Addressing the press at Guwahati Press Club here today, former AXX presidents Kaksen Deka, adviser Lakkhindan Bora, jourlist Haider Hussain, AXXXX president Dr. Gobinda Prasad Sarma and AXXXX joint secretaries Dhiren Sarma and Kamal Kalita said: “In accordance with standing AXX rules a secretary general of the AXX can be elected not more than two terms, i.e. four years. However, Dr. Paramanda Rajbongshi first opted to be AXX secretary general for two terms (four years), one term (two years) as the vice president and again another term as the secretary general. This is a blatant violation of the AXX rules. This is open to question as to how a college teacher draws his salary despite remaining out of the college for eight years. He was once expelled from the Xabha for anti-AXX activities. However, he maged to get back his post. Since the AXX election is going to start from June 1, we appeal to all not to cast votes in favour of Rajbongshi.”
