Police clean chit to city youth on Pakistani flag

GUWAHATI, April 25: Sensation prevailed in the Birubari area in the city on the flying a Pakistani flag yesterday. The flag was found on the bike (AS01BE6634) of Biki Das. The news was telecast by some TV channels creating a sensation in the State. When the family members came to know of the development this morning, they rushed to Birubari police outpost with the bike and Biki Das. The police held the youth and grilled. The police said that there was nothing unusual in the matter.

According to the police, when the youth kept the bike in front of his house and went to have meal, someone kept the Pakistani flag on the bike, clicked a photograph with a mobile handset and sent it to the TV channels. The police also said that the youth did not fly the flag anywhere. It was a flag used during the recent South Asian Games held in the city.
