Porous pipes lead to water crisis!

By our Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, May 12: Potable water supply in Chandmari, Nizarapar, Red Cross, Kailashpur, bagraha, Shastri Path, Chandmari  Colony etc., areas in the city has been grossly idequate for the past one month. The GMC, according to the consumers, attributes the situation to the porous pipelines in the area. The consumers met local councilor Balen Bharali who, according to them, lent deaf ears to their plea. The area has around 25,000 people who need at least 2,000 litres water a day. The GMC can supply only around 500 litres water a day.
