Pre-budget discussion held

Guwahati, Jan 12: A pre –Budget discussion was held in the conference hall of N F Railway, Maligaon today with members of parliament of N F R jurisdiction. Muhmmad Salim, MP, Lok Sabha, Raiganj, Santosh Kumar, MP, Lok Sabha, Purnia, ba Sarania, MP, Lok Sabha, Kokrajhar, Santiuse Khjur, MP, Rajya Sabha, P P Roy, MP, Lok Sabha, Coochbehar, Pradan Baruah, MP, Loka Sabha, Lakhimpur, Vincent H Pala, MP, Lok Sabha, Shillong, and Kamakhya Prasad Tasha, MP, Lok Sabha, Jorhat, were present during the discussion, a press release said.

Chahatey Ram, General Mager, N F Railway and other Senior Officers were present from railway side.

Welcoming the MPs, General Manger, Chahatey Ram requested them to offer their valuable suggestions on various crucial issues related to the effective functioning of railways as the most popular mode of transport in Northeast India.

Accordingly MPs elaborated on their demands for their respective jurisdiction as well as state for over-all socio-economic development of the region and requested General Mager to include those and to submit to the appropriate authority.
