President's medals

GUWAHATI, August 16: Havildar/clerk of First Assam Industrial Force (AIF) Pawan Kumar Saikia has received President’s medal for distinguished service. He is the eldest son of Late Soram Saikia and Ri Saikia of Amayapur Path in the Geetagar area in the city.

Meanwhile, the President of India has also awarded the President’s Fire Service Medal for distinguished/meritorious service to Squadron Commander Upendra th Baishya, sub-officer Kuladhar Choudhary, (Sub-Officer) and fireman Aman Ulla Ali of the Fire & Emergency Services, Assam.
