Primary teachers set Jan 28 deadline

GUWAHATI, Jan 11: The Asom Rajyik Prathamik Shikshak Sanmilani (ARPSS) has said that a large number of primary teachers of the State are set to be skinflint during the Magh Bihu for the negligence to them by Dispur. In a statement issued to the press on Thursday, Sanmilani secretary general Ratul Chandra Goswami said: “We’ll resort to a democratic agitation after January 28 this year if Dispur doesn’t pay us salaries at the rate of the Seventh Pay Commission recommendations.” He further said that the new academic calendar is set to violate child rights and that the sanmilani is going to see its legal aspects.
