Priyadarshini has her eyes set on Miss World crown

GUWAHATI, April 18: Fami Miss India Priyadarshini Chatterjee says that now she has her eyes set on Miss World crown.

In an interaction with the media in Guwahati today, Miss Chatterjee said: “Since I’m an Assamese girl, it’s my duty to enlighten the me of the State in the world outside. Since Miss World is a very tough contest, I need to get ready for that through regular efforts. Whatever tough a contest is, one has to give full he best to be successful. Self-confidence is one of the most important qualities one should have for success. Fashion industry in Assam has also made strides. Opportunities are ample here. I’ll continue to remain attached to the fashion industry. However, I’ll have to think otherwise if any offer comes from Bollywood. I do admit the contribution of my parents in my success.”

Miss Chatterjee, who is doing her graduation from Hunduja College in Delhi, says that she has a dream project – Shishu Kalyan. “I’ll lay stress on the education of children as it is only education that can bring about a change in society. I do nurture a hope to work for women empowerment as well.”

Priyadarshini’s parents – Prabir Kumar Chatterjee and Papiya Chatterjee – also spoke on the occasion. Her father said: “Fashion world isn’t bad as a career option. Along with her inclition towards fashion, we asked her to do better in education as well”.  Her mother Papiya said: “We have just taught her to be self-confident.”
