Probe into death of life convict

GUWAHATI, July 15: Following a directive from the tiol Human Rights Commission (NHRC) the Kamrup (M) district magistrate ordered an inquiry into the custodial death on life convict Sanchura Mahali (72), son of Late Manebar Mahali, on October 19, 2016 at GMCH. Kamrup subdivisioal metropolitan magistrate Chinmoy Prakash Phookan will inquire into the incident and submit his findings within 15 days.
