GUWAHATI, June 13: State Irrigation Minister Ranjit Dutta today ordered an inquiry into the construction of Rs 4.85-crore Dhonkhunda Irrigation Scheme at Kamalpur. The inquiry committee has two irrigation officers who have been asked to submit the report within three days.
Following allegations that the construction of the project was very poor in quality, the minister had to pay a visit to project site yesterday taking local MLA Satyabrata Kalita and Rangiya MLA Bhabesh Deka. They were not satisfied with the works done by contractor Dhaneswar Kalita.
