Probes into deaths of under-trial prisoners

GUWAHATI, Oct 27: The Kamrup (M) district administration has ordered magisterial inquiries into the deaths of two under-trial prisoners of Guwahti Central Jain – Lachit Rabha who died on October 24, 2017 at BBCI and Tamijuddin Ahmed who died at GMCH on October 22, 2017 – and submit the reports to the tiol Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) within 15 days. The two rights bodies demanded inquiries into the deaths of the two under-trial prisoners.
