Prohibitory order on residential and commercial buildings

GUWAHATI, Dec 5: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup (M), under Sec 30.2 (III), (V), (XXIII) of DM Acts 2005, directed the development authorities like Gauhati Municipal Corporation (GMC), Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), to take immediate necessary action to cancel the trade license or occupancy certificate of the said establishment immediately. Dc instructed the same for the safety of the building in various places of the city like Fancy Bazar, where fire took place recently and no fire safety provisions were placed leading to a drastic damage of the entire area.
