Prominent citizen passes away

GUWAHATI, January 24: Elamonee Lahkar, wife of Sankar Dutta Lahkar, resident of Rehabari, passed away at around 1 pm today. She was 62 and suffering from cancer for the past two years. A prominent citizen of the locality with a penchant for social work, she leaves behind her husband, a son and a daughter. Her cremation will take place at bagraha around 11 am on Sunday.
