Protest by Aamri Karbi students' union

GUWAHATI, August 29: The Amri- Karbi Students’ Union today staged a dhar at Dighalipukhuripar in the city in protest against the alleged embezzlement of crores of funds by the Amri Karbi Development Council (AKDC). The students’ union rued the fact that over Rs 14 crore of fiscals 2013-14 and 2014- 15 had been allocated for the development of the tribe, but the amount was swindled by the council. The students’ body demanded government’s intervention.
