GUWAHATI, Sept 3: All Assam Sanskrit Unyan Parisad (AAUP) has demanded the State Government to provincialize all the venture Sanskrit tools (chatuspathis) and Sanskrit colleges. Addressing the media at Guwahati Press Club on Sunday, AAUP member Vinit Kumar Sarma said: “We’ve a slew of protest programmes at Dispur Last Gate from September 4 to 12 during the State Assembly session. The first day, we, all teachers under venture colleges, will protest by taking utensils in our hands. On September 5, we’ll boycott the Teachers’ Day by wearing black attire.” They said that they requested the government many a time for the provincialization of all venture tools and Sanskrit colleges in the State, but to no avail.  “We’re, however, happy at the decision taken by the Government to bring all provincialized venture Sanskrit tools under Kumar Bhaskar Barma University,” Sarma said, and added: “But the government should think about the teachers working under venture colleges/ tools as well.”
