Rahul allowed to be represented by lawyer

GUWAHATI, Nov 5: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who was summoned in a defamation case over his remarks against the RSS, was today allowed to be represented by his lawyer on the next hearing. The Kamrup Chief Judicial Magistrate who heard the case today allowed Gandhi to be represented by his lawyer during the next hearing slated for December 23.

Gandhi was not present in the court today. The Congress leader had persolly appeared in the court on September 29 last following its summons, and was allowed to go on PR bond in connection with the crimil defamation case regarding Barpeta Xatra in December last year.
