Rajbongshi relieved from AXX, time being!

Meet accepts resigtion letter of AXX president Dhrubajyoti Bora

GUWAHATI, Jan 8: The Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) has relieved its secretary general Paramanda Rajbongshi from the post he has been holding, but for ‘time being’. The development came today in Guwahati where the delegates’ meeting of the premier literary body was held. The delegates’ meeting refused to accept the resigtion letter, but relieved Rajbongshi from the post only for time-being. The delegates’ meeting had to take the decision when the situation generated much heat against his continuation as AXX secretary general even though there are numerous allegations against him. The delegates’ meeting also accepted the resigtion letter submitted to it by AXX president Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bora recently.

The meeting took a crucial proposal not to appoint any in-charge president with the resigtion of the president. The meeting, instead, proposed to appoint a three-member presidium to run the Xabha.

There was a ruckus outside the venue of the meeting when a large number of people shouted slogans with placards against Rajbongshi. Some of the protestors had their faces masked Laxmith Bezbaruah.
