Rajhans Shishu Vidyalaya foundation day celebrated

GUWAHATI, June 1: The 43rd foundation day of the Rajhans Shishu Vidyalaya was celebrated here on Thursday.

A cultural procession was taken out on the occasion which was participated by several students and teachers of the schools besides the guardians.

The procession was taken out from the school premises to Super Market and culmited again at the school. Headmistress of the school Soli Baruah Bhuyan and founder Headmistress Loni Chaliha also participated in the procession.

An art & craft exhibition was also held on the occasion where art & craft works done by the students besides the science projects were put up for display.

Saplings were also planted in the school campus as a part of foundation day celebration.

Established in 1974 at Rukmini gar area of the city, the school now has around 500 students.  The school provides free education to the students belonging to poor families up to fourth standards.  From class V to X, it takes only one-time fees from students during admission at the rate of Rs 300 or 350.
