RC th Award to Mahanta

GUWAHATI, Mar 2: The North Guwahati Jourlists' Forum (NGJF) has given away the Ramesh Chandra th Memorial Award, 2016 to senior cultural jourlist Mani Mahanta for his contribution in the field of cultural jourlism at a function in Guwahati Press Club today. Besides cash, the award carries a citation, a gamosa, a jaapi and a cheleng sador. Novelist Phanindra Kumar Debochoudhury gave away the award. Receiving the award, Mahanta said: "I feel very honoured with this award, and I want to remember the contributions of my seniors like Radhika Mohan Bhagawati, Saurav Kumar Das, Ajit Bhuyan and others, who taught me the style of writing and much more in jourlism."
