Refinery employees dote one-day salary to CM Fund

GUWAHATI, Aug 30: The employees of Guwahati Refinery have doted their one-day salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as a support to the State Government’s efforts for carrying out relief measures in flood-affected areas in the State. The sum of Rs. 26 lakh has been doted by the employees of the Refinery as a symbol of their solidarity with the people of Assam.

The cheque for the amount was handed over to Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal by Guwahati Refinery Executive Director Jogen Barpujari on August 29, 2017. The Executive Director was accompanied by the representatives of IOOA, Guwahati Refinery and Refinery Workers’ Union and other senior officials.
