'Release Hindus from detention camp'

GUWAHATI, Oct 4: The All Assam Bengali Youth Students' Federation (AABYSF) demanded Union Home Minister Rajth Singh to release the Hindu Bengalis from the detention camps soon. They had a discussion on this matter with the minister in New Delhi today. AABYSF president Mahanda Sarkar Dutta said: "We have raised our demands before the Home Minister at his residence today. He assured us that the government will fulfill the demands soon. We have also submitted a memorandum to Singh and demanded permanent citizenship to Hindu Bengalis of the state, solve the problem of 'D' voters and others. Singh assured us that they will take steps within a month to solve all these problems."
