Response to GIFF massive

GUWAHATI, Oct 28: The craze for films to be screened at Guwahati Intertiol Film Festival (GIFF) here can best the measured with the incident that the organizers had to stop registration, both online and offline.
The rush of moviegoers at GIFF came to such a pass that the organizers had to stop registration on Friday. People from Tripura, Aruchal Pradesh, Meghalaya, remote districts of Assam like Dhemaji, Cachar, Karimganj and other areas in the Northeast flocked the city. They say that the younger generation is more interested in such intertiol film festivals. A large number of college students were seen at the opening ceremony of the festival. The auditorium was full. Most of the moviegoers wished such festivals were held here in future as well.
A section of college students said: “We like to view Hollywood movies, and we can see them on the TV screen as well. However, the movies that have come here are award winners. They’ve something special, the wow factor. We’re not going to let any of the films unwatched. Such movies are set to let us know what movies should actually look like.”
