RI president Ravindran to visit city on February 12

GUWAHATI, Feb 9: The Rotary Intertiol (RI) president KR Ravindran will visit the city from February 12 to 13 as part of his visit to all the 3,240 RI districts in the Northeast, parts of North Bengal and Sikkim.

Talking to the press here today, district RI governor Chandu Agarwal said: “Ravindran, who hails from Srilanka,  will visit the city as a part of his visit to the RI districts in this region, which we have med as ‘Swagatam’. Ravindran will take part in the foundation semir in the city on February 12 and motivate the Rotarians of the district. He will also meet Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Governor PB Acharya on February 13 and meet the other public leaders, government officials, institutiol heads, corporate leaders and district rotary leaders as well during his visit.”

Ravindran, according to Agarwal, was honoured by the Srilankan Government by releasing a postage stamp in recognition to his global contribution in the field of social work.
