Road rage in city after water-logging!

By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 16: After the unprecedented artificial floods lashing Guwahati, everybody who was out on city roads today was stuck in traffic. Many city areas that do not experience traffic jams had the bitter taste of the mece today.

The traffic police personnel in the city got their uniform changed recently, but not the mece of traffic srl. Traffic lights are just not glowing at many traffic points in the city.

Traffic jams on GS Road, RG Baruah Road, AK Deb Road, Chandmari, Guwahati Club, Kacharighat to Dighalipukhuripar, RBI turning and many other roads in the city were unprecedented. The roads were simply teeming with vehicles of all hues, from nose to tail.

The mece was at its peak when students and office goers were on way to their institutions and offices. There were also others who were stuck in the jam. Even though traffic police personnel were on their job, the traffic srls in the city were beyond control. There is something that went wrong today, and the traffic magers in the city are the ones who can pinpoint it.

The number of vehicles is on the rise in Guwahati. Vehicles from the neighbouring States also come to the city in large number. However, one cannot blame the number of vehicles for the sudden and unprecedented traffic jam in the city today as things cannot be so worse all of a sudden unless there is something seriously wrong.
