'Rodali Award' to be given away

Guwahati, June 19: A city-based social and cultural organization, Rodali, is going to organize its ninth edition of ‘Rodali Award’ this year at Jorhat. The award will be conferred on those who have been greatly contributing to Assam’s mobile theatre, cinema, short-films and programmes of audio-visual categories.

The award-giving ceremony will be held at Madhav Chandra Das Memorial Auditorium of Assam Agricultural University on June 24.

The Sangeet Rat Award will be conferred on noted musician Hemanta Goswami,  tya Rat on  playwright Avatar Singh, Sangbad Rat on GL Agarwala and  Sanskritik Rat on Sanjeev rain. The award function will be graced by former chief ministers Tarun Gogoi and Prafulla Kumar Mahanta.
